1920's SPEAKEASY SOIREE

I loved every second of planning and executing this 1920's Speakeasy Soiree themed year end function.

The decor included black tablecloths, mirror platters, black slate platters, silver bowls, silver candelabra & candles, a silver cocktail shaker, vintage crystal whisky decanters, strings of pearls, glitter mirror platters, feather boas, black & white feathers and one of my favourite elements, the Art Deco menu in a gold frame as well as stacks of liquor boxes and crates filled with straw and empty liquor bottles.

My inspiration for the food was the Italian gangsters and of course delicious and "fancy" finger food.

On the menu was a selection of Italian charcuterie including Proscioutto, Salami, Bresaola, Pelate Sotto & Arrotolata, a selection of Italian cheese including Parmiggiano Regiano, Pecorino, Bocconcini, Mozarella, Provolone, Gorgonzola, Grana Padano & Ricotta served with toasted panini, anitpasti skewers with a basil pesto drizzle, goat's cheese, fig preserve & Proscioutto crostini with a balsamic drizzle, smoked salmon, creme fraiche, caper & lemon bruschetta, marinated olives, fresh oysters served on crushed ice in Martini glasses, meatballs Napoletana sliders, individual prawn & avocado cocktails, gazpacho shooters, gorgonzola & fig phyllo parcels and strawberries & chocolate.
