Ingredients
  

  • 500 g Lamb deboned and cubed
  • 45 ml Olive Oil
  • 2 Cloves
  • 1 Bay Leaf
  • 1 Cinnamon Stick
  • 1 tsp Fennel Seeds
  • 1 Onion chopped
  • 1 tbsp Tomato Paste
  • 1 sprig Curry Leaf
  • 2 cloves Garlic finely chopped
  • 1 tsp Crushed Ginger
  • 2 tsp Salt
  • 1/4 tsp Turmeric
  • 4 tbsp Durban Masala
  • 1 tsp Garam Masala
  • 1/4 tsp Elaichi
  • 400 g Chopped Tomatoes
  • 1 cup Water
  • 4 Potatoes peeled and cubed
  • 1 loaf White Bread unsliced
  • 4 sprigs Coriander fresh

Instructions
 

  • Debone the lamb if necessary
  • Cut it into bite sized cubes
  • Brown the lamb cubes in batches in a hot cast iron pan using a bit of olive oil
  • Season it well with salt and pepper
  • Place all the ingredients in the slow cooker
  • Cook on high for about 6 hours until the lamb and potatoes are nice and tender
  • Cut the unsliced white bread into quarters
  • Hollow out the soft centre
  • Fill it with a generous helping of curry
  • Top with a few sprigs of fresh coriander
  • Eat with your hands!
