I loved every second of putting together this Designer Eats & Treats Table for Caira’s Two Wild Party. This soft, modern take on the classic and popular wild animal theme was perfect for a little girl.

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

  • the beautiful water colour artwork by OctopusArtis we used for all the graphic designs and printables including the backdrop printed by Memory Wall Creations
  • the gold painted wild animal figurines (all they needed were party hats, I will try to remember that for next time!)
  • the beautiful Two Wild cookies by Cookies & Treats by C
  • the animal print tablecloths
  • and little Caira’s face when she saw her party table!

The eats & treats included glazed doughnuts, caramel popcorn, cookies, assorted sweets in apothecary jars, macarons, meringues and strawberry custard! Oh, and biltong and cheese spread tree trunk sandwiches just so we could say that everything on the table wasn’t sweet. It was a party after all!

Caira loves flavoured milk so we served two flavours, strawberry and Creme Soda, to go with the colour scheme. 🙂

Each little guest received a pretty Two Wild themed party bag filled with treats to take home.

My favourite thing to eat is a beautifully styled cheese and charcuterie board with a glass of good red wine and live music playing in the background. Or the foreground. Writing about food and music (and everything in between) excites me because these are two of the many things that South Africa has an abundance of and it is also two of the few things that really bring people together.

If you are creative and enjoy event styling, cooking, baking, entertaining, live music, festivals and markets like I do then stick around. Here I will share events and recipes, talk about new music, interview artists, recommend festivals, markets, events and eateries, review products and offer catering and décor solutions.

I think out of the box (and in the shower). I draw inspiration from others. I like creating new ways of doing old things. I like using old things to make new things. When you leave here I want you to be informed and feel inspired, excited and a little nostalgic.
