Dia de los Muertos, also known as The Day of the Dead, is a holiday largely observed in Mexico and is traditionally celebrated on 1 & 2 November.
Home altars are created and families prepare traditional dishes to enjoy together. The days are spent in prayer and remembrance of loved ones who have passed. I think it’s a wonderful opportunity to keep memories alive, to bring families together, to let go of past differences and to pass stories on from one generation to the next.
