I had a great time setting up and styling this 1960’s Flower Power Hippie Party for a special 40th birthday celebration at home!

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

  • the beautiful and colourful fresh flowers arranged in a peace sign box, what a show stopper!
  • the tie dye peace sign cookies baked by Daleen Botes from Prettynice
  • my VW van model complete with flower power hippie labels, I wish I had a real one!
  • the tie dye sarong I bought at the Innibos Laeveld Nasionale Kunstefees many moons ago, I knew it would come in handy at some stage
  • and lastly the snack bowls made from vinyl records, don’t worry, I didn’t destroy any collectables!

We set up and styled a beautiful grazing style table which included a wide variety of delicious eats & treats. For the vegans and vegetarians there was fresh fruit, vegetables and berries, roasted & salted mixed nuts, vegetable wraps and assorted breads with dips such as hummus and guacamole.

Additional eats included beef sliders, local and imported cheeses, charcuterie and a selection of breads with dips and spreads.

This is the way I like to eat!
