My name is Anel.

I am a wife, mother, entrepreneur, event stylist, South African music fanatic, artist manager, blogger and foodie!

My personal mission is to combine and share my passion for food and music with you and to entertain, inform and inspire you to create your own feasts at home. I aim to bring a smile to your face, to inspire you and to spark creativity in you. I am a creative and love DIY projects, planning, executing and finally styling eats and treats tables for special occasions.

My favourite thing to eat is a beautifully styled cheese and charcuterie board with a glass of good red wine and live music playing in the background. Or the foreground. Writing about food and music (and everything in between) excites me because these are two of the many things that South Africa has an abundance of and it is also two of the few things that really bring people together.

If you are creative and enjoy event styling, cooking, baking, entertaining, live music, festivals and markets like I do then stick around. Here I will share events and recipes, talk about new music, interview artists, recommend festivals, markets, events and eateries, review products and offer catering and décor solutions.

I think out of the box (and in the shower). I draw inspiration from others. I like creating new ways of doing old things. I like using old things to make new things. When you leave here I want you to be informed and feel inspired, excited and a little nostalgic.
