My favourite thing to eat is a delicious cheese board and everything that goes with it including a glass of good red wine in my hand!
So it is no surprise that planning, preparing and styling a Cheese & Wine for a special occasion is one of my favourite things to do! With this one it was no different!
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:
- the Long Clawson Blue Stilton in the beautiful little porcelain pot which I found at our local cheese market
- the Fairview Vintner’s Brie topped with seasonal fruit, berries and caramelized sugar, yummy!
- the walnut crusted goat’s milk cream cheese topped with a thyme infused honey drizzle, oh my goodness!
- the cream cheese, sesame and poppy seed truffles
- and the blue cheese and fig phyllo parcels, a firm favourite at any event!
Guys, we have AMAZING cheeses in South Africa!
This table had just about everything your heart desires when it comes to cheese and wine. We started off with a selection of local and imported cheeses and then we added some charcuterie. We then added an assortment of biscuits and breads along with some patés, spreads and dips.
Fresh and dried fruit, berries and nuts are always a good idea for that finishing touch!
