I had the absolute best time catering for Gjord’s First Holy Communion Luncheon which was hosted in their beautiful garden.

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

  • the delicious black macarons with a smudge of gold, I am super proud of myself for pulling this off!
  • the beautiful cookies baked by Cookies & Treats by C
  • the backdrop of eucalyptus leaves, I loved it!
  • the cheese board with seasonal fruit en berries
  • and obviously the handsome young Gjord’s face when he saw his celebration table filled with all his favourite eats & treats!

The black colour scheme with the touches of greenery, white, gold and wooden elements was very striking and glamourous, perfect for such a formal event. I particularly loved the dessert roses in the cross shaped box.

The food looked positively delicious even if I have to say so myself! We served a variety of chicken, beef and lamb sliders, assorted crostini and Buffalo wings with blue cheese dip as well as wraps with an assortment of fillings.

Additional sweet treats included milk tartlets (Gjord’s favourite!), Krispy Kreme glazed dougnuts and Ferrero Rocher truffles.

The pretty cake was supplied by Gjord’s family. 🙂
