When Celeste asked me to put together a navy blue, pink and gold cocktail party for her mom-in-law’s 60th birthday celebration I was immediately excited!
We catered for 12 guests but I wanted to make sure that everyone was well fed! I also wanted it to look super pretty, and I think it did!
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:
- the colour scheme itself. Navy blue, pink and gold is very luxurious, yet fun colour scheme!
- the Creative Cake, although I am no baker I had loads of fun baking and decorating it 🙂
- the navy blue draping
- the beautiful pink roses in gold vases
- and lastly all the delicious cocktail party eats & treats! Without blowing my own horn, it looked positively DELICIOUS and I almost invited myself to the party!
My favourite menu items included Greek chicken souvlaki with tzatziki, individual prawn & avocado cocktail with sherry seafood sauce and Italian antipasti skewers with basil pesto drizzle as well as chevre & thyme phyllo cigars with honey and chopped walnuts. Yummy! And don’t forget the cheese & charcuterie board! My ultimate favourite.
Additional eats included roosterkoek lamb sliders, beef sliders, smoked salmon wraps, camembert & cranberry phyllo parcels and a selection of crostini.
Sweet treats included Ferrero Rocher truffles, koeksisters, macarons and the cake.
