Wilma and her beautiful family and some of their friends recently celebrated life and love with a stunning and delicious Black & Gold Cocktail Party hosted at their beautiful home in Centurion.
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:
- definitely the vibrant (not black & gold!) cheese and charcuterie board, it is literally my favourite thing to eat!
- the DANKBAAR (dankbaar means grateful or thankful) marquee letters, this family had so much to celebrate and to be thankful for
- the mini tacos!!
- the black activated charcoal wraps filled with smoked chicken, cucumber, lettuce and mayonnaise
- and also the yummy Caramel Popcorn Cupcakes dripping with caramel sauce!
Additional menu items included delicious chicken liver pate with melba toast, Buffalo wings with blue cheese sauce and Greek lamb meatballs with feta and tzatziki as well as jam packed beef sliders. We also served tartlets with goat’s milk cream cheese, mushrooms and caramelized onion, crostini with brie, rocket, caramelized onion and a balsamic reduction drizzle and pulled pork wraps. Oh, and phyllo parcels filled with blue cheese & fig and bacon & brie. Wow, that is quite a mouth full!
For dessert we served homemade fudge, Ferrero Rocher truffles and the cupcakes.
