It’s a Fabulously Glamourous 1920’s Speakeasy Soiree at Home

My inspiration for this 1920’s Speakeasy Soiree was the Italian gangsters, the art deco colour scheme of black and gold. And obviously prohibition. And The Great Gatsby. 🙂

I loved every second of putting together this luxurious food table for a Roaring Twenties inspired birthday celebration!

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

  • the food, literally all the food…
  • the crystal liquor decanters which my best friend Linde bought for me from an antique shop around the corner from where she lives in Pretoria
  • the melted mozarella on the meatball sliders, just look at it! Oozy goodness…
  • the Italian charcuterie and cheeses… oh my goodness…. yummm… that is literally my favourite thing to eat in the whole wide world
  • and lastly the black and gold art deco colour scheme with touches of silver, feathers and pearls, so glam!

Apart from the Italian charcuterie and cheese boards we also served antipasti skewers with a basil pesto drizzle, gorgonzola and fig phyllo parcels, crostini with smoked salmon and Italian charcuterie as well as marinated olives.

We served prawn & avocado cocktail, chilled gazpacho and fresh oysters in individual glasses, very fancy!

So are you ready to salivating already?
