This Beautiful Vintage High Tea Wedding is What Dreams are Made Of

I loved every second of planning and styling this wonderfully nostalgic Vintage High Tea Wedding alongside the beautiful bride Sandri and the lovely host Cornelia.

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

  • firstly Cornelia’s beautiful home filled with the most beautiful antiques and collectables. It is literally what (my) dreams are made of!
  • the crochet doilies which my late grandmother Ouma Sue made especially for my trousseau chest
  • the delicious Melktert, Rosé Champange & Apple Pie Couture Cupcakes
  • the old fashioned sweets in glass jars
  • and last but not least all my vintage tins and kitchen utensils which sit in their showcase patiently waiting for their time to shine at a vintage event!

Other old fashioned tea time treats included freshly baked scones with mascarpone and strawberry preserve, chocolate dipped meringues and smoked salmon vol au vents as well as various tartlets.

We also served wraps with assorted fillings, macarons, delicious freshly baked croissants filled with egg salad and open faced sandwiches with roast beef as well as freshly baked scones topped with cheese spread and fine biltong! One of my favourites!

And last but not least there were traditional egg salad sandwiches and Nutella and strawberry pancakes topped with fresh strawberries.

It was such a beautiful day!
