We had most of our little family over at our little house hence I decided to treat them to a Christmas Eve Grazing Table and I could not have been more pleased with how it turned out!
Not only was it very pretty to look at but it was positively delicious!
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:
- the antipasti Christmas wreath with marinated olives, roasted cocktail tomatoes, bocconcini and fresh rosemary
- the baked Castello brie round which was served in a cast iron skillet topped with a garlic and rosemary infused balsamic vinegar drizzle with chunks of toasted ciabatta bread on the side, oh my yum!!
- the most delicious sweet mustard, my late grandmother’s recipe… I can literally eat it with a spoon!
- the muffin sized chicken pies, my daughter’s favourite
- and above all spending time with my family on Christmas eve!
Additional eats included gammon, ham and pickled tongue served with the delicious mustard and roast chicken drumsticks with gremolata. We also served chicken liver pate with melba toast as well as a selection of cheese with accompaniments.
And then, Christmas eve would not be the same without some old school snacks like salami and cream cheese cones and cocktail sticks.
