This Noah’s Ark Party Made 4-year Old Janlo’s Heart Happy

I couldn’t think of a better theme than Noah’s Ark for Janlo’s birthday party as I believe he is a little miracle himself. Do you remember the Paw Patrol Party in Celebration of Janlo’s Astonighing Journey? Same Janlo!

I have been doing parties for Janlo and his older brother Altus since Janlo was born and it is always a treat to catch up with this lovely family.

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

the cardboard centrepieces with scripture which mommy Carin picked especially for Janlo
all the fluffy stuffed baby animal toys which Janlo loves
the bright rainbow coloured party favour bags filled with eats & treats
the cloud side table hand crafted by Bonkibanki Woodcraft and the cloud light box
and literally all the rainbows, doesn’t it just make you happy?

The eats & treats included delicious cupcakes, assorted rainbow sweets, hotdogs and rainbow sugar ribbons as well as chocolate lollipops.

Daddy Emile braaied some boerewors rolls for everyone to enjoy! Yummy!

To drink we served strawberry milk in cute little milk bottles with rainbow straws.

We set up and styled two separate tables for the brothers’ combined birthday celebration. Just Look at Little Altus’ Awesome Dinosaur Party!

My favourite thing to eat is a beautifully styled cheese and charcuterie board with a glass of good red wine and live music playing in the background. Or the foreground. Writing about food and music (and everything in between) excites me because these are two of the many things that South Africa has an abundance of and it is also two of the few things that really bring people together.

If you are creative and enjoy event styling, cooking, baking, entertaining, live music, festivals and markets like I do then stick around. Here I will share events and recipes, talk about new music, interview artists, recommend festivals, markets, events and eateries, review products and offer catering and décor solutions.

I think out of the box (and in the shower). I draw inspiration from others. I like creating new ways of doing old things. I like using old things to make new things. When you leave here I want you to be informed and feel inspired, excited and a little nostalgic.
