When I started thinking about what to offer our corporate clients for their year end events this year I immediately thought of a Christmas inspired Lamb on the Spit but more festive, less Christmas, to be more inclusive.
And I must say, I am very happy with how it turned out, we will be doing this again next year so book your space in advance! #yousnoozeyoulose
I thoroughly enjoyed putting together every single little detail and I loved every minute of it but…
MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:
- the stunning and delicious antipasti wreaths with marinated bocconcini, cocktail tomatoes and olives
- the beautiful cookies baked by Chantel from Cookies & Treats by C
- our delicious Lamb on the Spit, obviously!
- the DELICIOUS Peppermint Crisp Tart which is South Africa’s all time favourite dessert
- and last but not least my wooden Christmas tree which I bought on the side of the road… you can find treasures in the side of the road if you take some time to look!
Apart from the antipasti wreaths we also served a cheese and charcuterie board, yummy homemade chicken liver pate, biltong and droëwors for starters as well as blue cheese and fig phyllo parcels.
With the delicious Lamb on the Spit we served crunchy coleslaw, Greek village salad and corn on the cob along with baby potatoes and onions.
YUM!
