Travel Back in Time with this Great 1950’s Diner Party

I am a sucker for retro themes and that is why I loved doing this 1950’s Diner Party food table for Yolandi’s 40th birthday celebration!

MY PERSONAL FAVOURITE ELEMENTS WERE:

the awesome Cherry Cola cupcakes complete with chocolate sauce, cream, red & white striped paper straws and cherries on top!

the snack bowls made from vinyl records
the tomato soup shooters with grilled cheese soldiers
and lastly the yummy macaroni & cheese bowls! I want 5 of those right now!

Memory Wall Creations printed the black & white check backdrop which we decorated with black & white posters and vinyl records. I also loved all the vintage Coca Cola merchandise which added a nostalgic touch to the table.

Pre-dinner snacks included French fries crisps and popcorn in retro red & white striped popcorn boxes.

On the menu was pulled pork sliders, beef sliders and hotdogs with all the trimmings as well as deep fried chicken strips. We also served buffalo chicken wings with blue cheese dip and Cobb salad as well as the above mentioned macaroni & cheese bowls and tomato soup, yummy!

For dessert we served the adorable Cherry Cola cupcakes, doughnuts and chocolate brownies.
